Los Angeles Chapter's 65th Anniversary

The Los Angeles Chapter of Ikenobo Ikebana celebrated its 65th Anniversary with several events.  Headmaster Sen'ei Ikenobo and his grandson Senshu Ikenobo participated and were aided by Professor Kobayashi and assistant Sakaguchi.  Events kicked off with taiko drums announcing the opening of the exhibit on the theme of an ancient poem about Autumn Winds.  In the afternoon Sen'ei Ikenobo demonstrated several arrangements followed by his grandson giving what was reportedly his first demonstration.  This session concluded with Professor Kobayashi performing a Reishiki-ike, or a ceremonial performance of creating a traditional arrangement.
