Sunamono Workshop

27-28 June 2015

Ikenobo America in San Francisco offered a weekend workshop on Sunanomono or Sunamono ikebana.  Sunamono are a form of rikka that are wider than they are tall.  Traditionally made of pine and other hardy tree materials, they can also be made with more tender flowers and "grass" (aka non-woody) materials.  Jean, Wendy and I traveled from Honolulu for the occasion...
