The Honolulu chapter of Ikenobo hosted Ikenobo Ikebana
Professor Komiya for a workshop. Saturday she covered
the basics of the new way of teaching Jiyuka or free
style arrangements using a single insertion point. On
Sunday she taught Rikka Shofutai, with nimai
ushiro oha or two extra leaves added in the back to
round out the arrangement. Sunday evening we took her
out for Chinese food.
