Kitano Tenmangu plus...

28 January 2024

Back in Kyoto for the last week of a 4-week ikebana course.  Arrived in time to catch the Kyoto chapter of Ikenobo ikebana's exhibit at Kitano Tenmangu shrine in northwest Kyoto.  Discovered they were also showing plum bonsai, most ranging from 50-120 years old!  From there we walked up to Kinkakuji, aka the Golden Pavilion, and then to the most famous rock garden at Ryoanji.
