Nishi Honganji Light-up

We went to a special illumination of Nishi Honganji that included two National Treasures normally closed to the public: the Karamon Gate, which is considered to be one of Kyoto's most iconic structures; and Hiunkaku, apparently one of Kyoto's three most famous pavilions.  Unfortunately their smoke machine wasn't generating enough smoke to really give it the feeling of floating above the clouds as intended, but it was still an impressive sight....
