Walhalla

10 July 2018

While driving to Dresden we notice that we're driving right past this historic German national monument and decide to stop.  Mad king Ludwig built it as a remembrance for German-speaking people of outstanding merit, basing the structure on the Greek Parthenon and named after the warrior's paradise of German mythology, Valhalla.  It honors people of merit and they continue to add more every few years.
